Your own library card is the key to accessing the materials from the library. It is free and students are encouraged to have their own with the approval of their parent.

Access to over 7 million items through the L.A. County Public Library System: books, music, DVDs, computers, and special programs that are always free.

What if I need help with my homework?
Live homework assistance in English and Spanish – 1 p.m. to midnight
Live homework assistance in Vietnamese – 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Teen Scape is a recently designed special area created for teens to meet for conversation, read, do homework and work together on their group projects. The library can be a safe and comfortable after school meeting place.
Support your library.
Provide a magazine subscription to expand the interest in the periodicals.
Become a Friend of the Duarte Library which promotes and supports the library.
Volunteer for any of the many activities sponsored by the FDL.
Work on the FDL membership campaign.
